A fierce struggle over Christmas package leaves 8 persons feared dead in Rumuodara, along the East-West Road, near Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Christmas season survival package venue turn into a date with death for about two beneficiaries after members of inksnation, a Non-Governmental Organisation besieged one of its offices in the state.
The Rivers State Police Command has so far confirm that two people have died in the incident.

The NGO had invited its registered members to receive their Christmas package at the location on Tuesday, December 15.
One of the beneficiary who gave her name as Chinaza, said that many people showed up for the package and were in a hurry to access the building, adding that the situation led to a stampede.
People stepped on others in order not to miss out on the palliative, she further narrated.
“Many were injured in the pandemonium.”
The incident where some of the victims had bruises, while others have collapsed was confirmed by the state police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni.
He said the palliatives were being distributed by INKSNATION, a Non-Governmental Organisation to her registered members from Ikwerre, Emohua and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas, when suddenly there was a stampede leading to the death of two people.
He said Some sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently receiving medical attention. Meanwhile, the situation is under control.
A similar situation happened in Benue where a baby died at the scene as a result of a vicious struggle on December 14 during inksnation general market at Aper Aku stadium, makurdi, the Benue state capital.
