He was honored as one of the big winners during the 25th anniversary of the awards on Monday night in Madrid.
Bellingham becomes the first ever footballer to win such an award after beating off competition from the likes of Josh Kerr and tennis prodigy Coco Gauff.
For the fifth time ever, Novak Djokovic was named the winner of the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award, marking an incredible year for him across the tennis circuit.
He triumphed in three of the four Grand Slams, losing only at Wimbledon after a thrilling matchup with Carlos Alcaraz. He shares five trophies with Lionel Messi.
