The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), according to the federal government, would conduct a thorough audit of all local airlines operating in the country.
This was said by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, on Channels Television’s Politics Today show on Thursday.
He declared that in addition to Dana Airlines’ suspension and the current audit of the airline, all other carriers in the nation would undergo audits to ensure passenger safety and the well-being of the civil aviation sector.
This comes after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) stated on Wednesday that it had suspended Dana Airlines’ Air Operator Certificate (AOC) with immediate effect.
The mandate was included in a letter signed and sealed in Abuja by Chris Najomo, the acting director general of the NCAA.
