The soldiers of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke have proven once more how committed they are to eradicating criminal activity, terrorism, and insurgency in Taraba State.
The brave troops have recently carried out operations in which they have successfully stopped assaults, captured suspects, and retrieved weapons and ammo.
Based on reliable information, the soldiers of 93 Battalion Sub-Sector 3B OPWS conducted clearance operations in the Ussa Local Government Area’s villages of Rikwenmakpawere and Alaha.
Following an unsuccessful attack at Kweserti village, the military reacted quickly, engaging the armed militias with superior firepower and driving them back into disarray.
Two extremists were neutralized during the operation, while the terrorists who were escaping were found to have one AK-47 magazine and seven rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
Subsequent interrogation of the suspects led to the seizure of more weapons, including 1 SMG rifle, 1 Single Barrel Gun, 2 AK-47 magazines, and 51 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
