Miguel Ovoke, a four-year-old student at BrickHall Schools in Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura, Abuja, passed away on Wednesday during the school’s meal hours.
As per the death certificate issued by Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja on April 24, 2024, Ovoke was unconscious when his teachers carried him to the hospital at approximately 11 a.m.
He was brought in “on account of aspiration on meat while feeding at school,” according to the medical report, which was signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi on behalf of the medical director.
Upon inspection, the boy’s pupils were discovered to be dilated and fixed, exhibiting a nonreactive reaction to light, according to the hospital.
According to the report, he had “impalpable peripheral pulses, unrecordable blood pressure, no cardiopulmonary activity or respiratory excursions, and a silent chest.”
The report stated that the medical team’s attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
According to the report’s conclusion, he was “brought in dead.”
