Shehu Sani Teases El-Rufai, Calls Him a “Rastafarian and Reggae Artist”

Former senator Comrade Shehu Sani engaged in some lighthearted banter as he jokingly referred to the immediate former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, as a “Rastafarian and Reggae artiste.”

Sani’s playful remark came in response to a post by El-Rufai on a social media platform.

El-Rufai, who had been relatively inactive on social media since his ministerial appointment was not confirmed by the Senate, shared a post centered around the iconic Reggae legend, Bob Marley, and his song “Who The Cap Fit” by The Wailers.

El-Rufai wrote, “VIDEO – Bob Marley of blessed memory is one of the most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music. ‘Who The Cap Fit’ – Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favorites from the 1970s. Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless. – @elrufai.”

In response, Shehu Sani playfully poked fun at El-Rufai on the same platform, stating, “I have turned him into a Rastafarian and Reggae artist…yeah man.”

This light-hearted exchange is a continuation of the banter between the two politicians, which had previously revolved around El-Rufai’s involvement in ministerial appointments. Sani had shared a humorous post about El-Rufai’s journey in the job application process.

Ya don’t know who to trust
Your worst enemy could be your best friend
And your best friend, your worse enemy
Some will eat and drink with you
