Residents panic as gully erosion pulls down 3 houses, threatens more in Abia community

Three houses in Umobia Housing Estate, Abia State have been pulled down in a heart-wrenching scene as rampaging erosion wreaked havoc and caused significant damage to several other properties, including farms. The situation has become dire, with more buildings now under threat in the area.

During a tour of the affected properties, journalists witnessed the devastating impact of the environmental crisis. The victims, deeply distressed by their losses, made a heartfelt appeal to the Abia State government, seeking urgent assistance to prevent further destruction. They fear that if nothing is done in the coming weeks, more buildings could be at risk.
