Heavy Downpours: Students Stranded As Flood Takes Over Lagos Community

Some students were on Monday afternoon, 17th of July, 2023 stranded after a flood took over roads and other areas in the Oko Oba community, Orile Agege Local Council Development Area.

In a trending report on the internet, the students were seen in their different school uniforms.

According to a resident, identified as James Joel, had not been able to return to their various homes as the flood leveled up the bridge in the area.

“They have been stranded for about two hours. They’re students of Lagos Baptist Senior Secondary School, Eko Junior Secondary School, and Lagos Baptist Senior College,” Joel said.

The Oko Oba community has always experienced floods during every heavy downpours in the community.
