Yobe State’s Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has administered an oath to 20 newly appointed commissioners, urging them to approach their roles with diligence, loyalty, and a willingness to make sacrifices.
The governor’s message, delivered in Damaturu on a Saturday, emphasized the importance of these qualities in advancing good governance and effective service delivery within the state.
Addressing the commissioners, Buni highlighted the significant responsibility they hold.
He pointed out that their decisions would shape the future of the state, aligned with the people-focused policies and initiatives that secured his re-election in the 2023 governorship election.
Buni urged the commissioners to adhere to proper procedures, ensuring that all official files are channeled through approved routes for documentation.
He also cautioned against the unauthorized release of government documents.
Furthermore, the governor cautioned the new commissioners against engaging in activities that might hinder progress, such as misusing resources or diverting them from their intended purposes.
Buni stressed the importance of prudence and transparency in managing the projects and programs entrusted to their care.
