A collaborative track from music stars Wizkid and Asake has broken the record for the highest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria.
Their hit song “Jogodo” debuted with an impressive 6.63 million streams, securing the top position and setting a new benchmark on the platform.
Davido follows closely with two strong entries. His track “With You,” featuring Omah Lay, garnered 4.98 million streams, while his collaboration “Funds” with Odumodublvck and Chike earned 4.82 million streams in its opening week.
Recent solo releases by the leading artists also performed strongly. Wizkid’s “Turbulence” achieved 4.82 million streams, and Asake’s “Alaye” recorded 3.74 million streams in its first week.
Other notable entries include Fido’s “Joy Is Coming” with 3.63 million streams, while Rema’s songs “FUN” and “Baby (Is It a Crime)” complete the top ten list.
The chart underscores the powerful market presence of Nigerian artists on digital streaming services and points to an increasing appetite for local music among listeners.
