Billionaire Wale Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Stop Condemning the Nation

Billionaire businessman and Group CEO of Oando Plc, Wale Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to view failure as a catalyst for national progress, arguing that societies advance when citizens derive lessons from setbacks rather than persistently criticizing their country.

Speaking in Lagos, Tinubu stated that national development hinges on collective conviction, perseverance, and a united sense of purpose. “We learn from our failures and we get it right. Stop condemning the country—its success depends on us moving together,” he asserted, calling on citizens to take ownership of the nation’s future.

He noted that the fear of failing often paralyzes initiative, whereas persistent effort is fundamental to achieving success.

Tinubu shared these thoughts shortly after the University of Lagos conferred upon him an honorary Doctorate degree in Business. The honor recognizes his impact on corporate development, transformation within the energy sector, and contributions to national growth.

He further advocated for deeper partnerships between the government and private sector, particularly in areas like education, healthcare, and social welfare. Tinubu also stressed the vital role alumni networks play in enhancing the quality of educational institutions.
