US Pastor Commits Su!cide After His Cross-Dressing Photos Leaked

Bubba Copeland, a well-known Baptist pastor in the United States and also the Mayor of Alabama, took his own life on Friday.

Freshreporters News gathered that the tragedy unfolded just one day after a conservative news outlet exposed his “secret life” and published images of him dressed in women’s attire.

As reported by Yahoo News, Mayor Copeland, who also served as the pastor at the First Baptist Church of Phenix City, had addressed the matter with his congregation earlier in the week.

During that talk, he stressed that the photographs in question were meant to remain private and stated that this incident wouldn’t alter his commitment to his family, city, and church.

In his words, “Yes, I have taken pictures with my wife in the privacy of our home in an attempt at humor because I know I’m neither a handsome man nor a beautiful woman. I apologize for any embarrassment caused by my private, personal life.”

On Friday, local authorities in Lee County received a request for a welfare check on the mayor, as reported by the local television station WTVM. Copeland was eventually discovered in Beulah, an unincorporated community in the northeastern corner of Lee County.

Deputies engaged in a slow pursuit of Copeland, who, at one point, pulled over, left his vehicle, and tragically ended his own life with a handgun.

The church, on the following Saturday, expressed gratitude on Facebook for the outpouring of support, stating, “First and foremost, we ask that you keep Pastor Bubba Copeland’s family in your prayers today and in the days ahead.”
