I Put In Much Efforts To Reinvent Myself, Reality TV Star Hermes Replies Critics

Hemes Iyele, Former Big Brother Naija star, known as Hermes, has released a video defending his new British accent.

The reality TV star came under attack following a video he released detailing his ordeal at a Guaranty Trust Bank event.

He claimed security personnel initially denied him entry due to his unique attire.

Hermes expressed his disappointment over the continuous bias he faces over his style.

His video caught the attention of netizens, who wasted no time calling him out over his unusual British accent.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Hermes responded to social media trolls, stating that he put in a lot of work to sound the way he does now.

“For all of you talking about my accent, I know how much hard work I put into reinventing myself. I know exactly where I come from, Oowornoshoki, to be exact. It’s a slum.

“I feel it now when Dave said, ‘a lot of people want to make it out, but nobody wants anyone to make it out.
