Tinubu Hosts House of Representatives for Ramadan Iftar at State House

President Bola Tinubu, alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima, hosted members of the House of Representatives for an Iftar dinner at the State House Banquet Hall on Thursday evening, reinforcing unity during the holy month of Ramadan.

The interfaith gathering brought together Muslim and Christian lawmakers, coinciding with the ongoing Lenten season. Speaker Tajudeen Abbas led the delegation, with members arriving in convoy and breaking their fast shortly after sunset at the Banquet Hall.

Tinubu used the occasion to discuss key national issues with the lawmakers, reportedly urging swift progress on constitutional amendments to facilitate the establishment of state police with adequate safeguards to strengthen Nigeria’s security framework.
