Skit Maker Oluwadolarz Opens Up About Childhood Abuse, Urges Parents to Protect Their Children

Nigerian content creator Oluwadolarz has bravely shared his experience of childhood sexual abuse in a now-viral video. He disclosed that a female neighbour, Aunty Ramota, abused him for about a year when he was just six years old, while he was living with his grandmother.

Recalling the traumatic experience, he said: “Whenever I came back from school, Ramota would take me to the backyard and do things I didn’t understand. When I started growing, I realised that what happened to me then was not normal.”

He explained that he was too young to comprehend what was happening or speak out, and the abuse continued until the neighbour and her family moved away. His grandmother was often away, leaving him with no adult to confide in.

Oluwadolarz said his main reason for sharing his story is to raise awareness among parents and guardians. “Please parents, watch your kids. Talk to your kids, have conversations. I’m beginning to realise this happens to a lot of male children,” he urged.

His revelation has reignited conversations on social media about child protection, highlighting the need for vigilance, open dialogue, and support to prevent abuse.
