Senator Adams Oshiomhole has sparked reactions after stating during an interview on Channels Television that some Nigerians are now claiming food has become “too cheap.”
The comments came as Oshiomhole defended the government’s economic reforms. When asked if the promised radical reforms were being implemented at the expense of ordinary Nigerians, Oshiomhole replied, “The truth is we promised radical reforms.” Pushed further, he rejected the idea that reforms were harming average citizens, asking, “Who are the average persons? You pick these things from the mouth of the people.”
He then challenged the host, stating, “Have you gone to see people complaining? There are Nigerians now saying food is becoming too cheap.”
Oshiomhole also argued that concerns about the impact of reforms were speculative, insisting they were not backed by factual evidence.
