The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), visited the headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Abuja on Wednesday to renew his diplomatic passport.
The monarch was welcomed by the Comptroller-General of the NIS, Kemi Nandap, along with senior members of the service’s management team.
During the visit, the Ooni commended the Federal Government for reforms underway within the NIS, noting they were significant for improving migration management and enhancing border governance.
He also praised President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Comptroller-General for what he called transformative efforts under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Ooni’s visit underscored the continued partnership between traditional institutions and government agencies in supporting national progress.
