In other news, Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has expressed his nonchalance about not being included in the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) nominations. Despite the movie “Anikulapo” receiving 16 nominations, Kunle’s portrayal of the lead actor did not make the list, which was announced on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

“Anikulapo,” directed and co-produced by Kunle Afolayan, features a star-studded cast including Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Taiwo Hassan, Yinka Quadri, and Eyiyemi Afolayan, among others.

While Kunle did not receive a nomination, his co-star Bimbo was recognized in the Best Actress in a Drama, Movie, or TV Series category. Yinka Quadri and Taiwo Hassan secured nominations for Best Supporting Actor (Movie/TV Series), and Sola Sobowale was listed for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, Movie, or TV Series.

Despite not being nominated, Kunle Remi remains unfazed, asserting that the AMVCA award does not define his worth as an actor.
