In a significant move, Governor Ortom of Benue State officially inaugurated the Fountain Estate project in Makurdi, the state capital.
The project, executed by the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), comes just nine days before the end of his administration.
Expressing his delight, Governor Ortom commended BIPC for their dedication to addressing the housing deficit through estate development.

He emphasized the significance of estate development, considering the high housing deficit in Nigeria and particularly in Benue State.
The Governor highlighted the investment potential of the project, stating that property values are expected to appreciate over time, offering opportunities for profit if owners decide to sell.
Recognizing the persistent demand for housing due to the housing deficit, he lauded BIPC for their commitment to adding value and their proposed initiatives, not only in Benue but also in Abuja.
Acknowledging the imminent transition of power, Governor Ortom assured the incoming government of his belief in the continuity of BIPC’s operations. He expressed confidence that the new administration would support and collaborate with BIPC to further their endeavors.
Furthermore, Governor Ortom commended the current Board and Management of BIPC for their proactive approach to development.

Governor Ortom attributed the success of BIPC to his administration’s policy of non-interference, emphasizing that his government has maintained a zero-tolerance approach to interfering in the management of the company.
He expressed trust in the competence of the team, acknowledging their ability to contribute value through the growth of the company and infrastructural development.
As Governor Ortom’s term approaches its end, the commissioning of the Fountain Estate project symbolizes the progress made in addressing the housing deficit and promoting estate development in Benue State.

The continuity of BIPC’s initiatives under the new administration will be instrumental in furthering these efforts and meeting the housing needs of the state.
