- The organization questions whether Ezekwesili’s loyalty is with the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) or with the people of Nigeria.
The Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) has taken aim at former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, urging her to make a definitive choice regarding her allegiance between the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Eastern Security Network (ESN), or the Nigerian population as a whole.
The organization’s criticism stems from Ezekwesili’s consistent disparagement of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement released on Saturday, Niyi Akinsiju, Chairman of BMO, expressed disappointment with Ezekwesili’s tendency to inundate public discourse with what he described as “a toxic blend of slander and ill-mannered pontification” when addressing President Buhari.
Akinsiju further highlighted the former minister’s propensity for voicing her opinions in a self-aggrandizing manner.
BMO emphasized that while citizens in the South-East expected leaders to condemn the killing of two American Consulate personnel in Anambra, Ezekwesili chose to direct her criticisms towards the President.
The media group castigated Ezekwesili for failing to take a strong stance after the attack, viewing it as a deliberate act of deception.
Akinsiju questioned Ezekwesili’s loyalty, posing the crucial inquiry of whether her allegiance lies with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) or with the Nigerian populace.
He accused the former World Bank Vice President of displaying hypocrisy by attempting to remove the perceived faults of others while disregarding her own.

The organization also highlighted the efforts of security personnel in neutralizing or arresting operatives affiliated with IPOB/ESN, even in the South-East region.
The recent criticism directed at Ezekwesili follows remarks made by former presidential aide Reno Omokri, who accused her of bias in response to the attack on United States Embassy staff.
Omokri pointed out that Ezekwesili swiftly took to the streets to protest the killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto State.
As the public discourse continues, BMO seeks clarity from Ezekwesili regarding her allegiance, highlighting the importance of loyalty and unity in a country striving for progress.
