The National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has dismissed speculations that he plans to leave the party, insisting he remains firmly committed to its growth and future.
He said this while Speaking at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday, the former Kano State governor stressed that the NNPP was thriving in Kano and other states, adding that the party had no reason to contemplate defection.
He described recent reports about his possible exit as fake news fueled by political hype.
Kwankwaso assured members that any discussions regarding the 2027 elections would be a collective decision rooted in party supremacy.
Recalling how he lost the 2003 Kano governorship race but returned to power in 2011, he urged NNPP faithful to stay focused, emphasizing that Nigerians had already begun shaping the direction of the next general elections.
