The Nigeria Police Force claims to have detained one of its officers for allegedly k+lling Emmanuel Michael Okocha, a businessman, in Aba, Abia State.
According to information obtained, on April 17, the trigger-happy cop killed the dead MCC Abayi-Aba for reportedly refusing to bribe them even though they had a full driver’s license.
“The Abia State Police Command is aware of trending online news regarding the incident resulting in the death of Mr. Emmanuel Okocha, sh%t by a police officer,” stated ASP Maureen Chinaka, the PRO of the Abia Police, in a statement on Saturday.
According to preliminary investigations into the incident, Mr. Emmanuel Okocha was shot by Police Corporal Obagi Njok of the Abayi Police Division of the Abia State Police Command on Aba-Owerri Road.
The required disciplinary actions have been initiated after the officer was apprehended. He will be subject to all relevant administrative and legal repercussions, including the earliest possible execution of suitable disciplinary measures and punishments. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
