Maryam Danlami, a three-year-old child, was discovered dead in Ningi Local Government Area, Bauchi state on Thursday, March 16.
The corpse was discovered in Ningi township a few days after her parents reported her missing.
Before her corpse was discovered in Ningi, discarded along a trail, the deceased child had been missing for two days. Three Almajiri boys attending a nearby Qur’anic school informed her parents who live in Sabuwar Denawa in the Ningi township.
The incident was reported to the Ningi police, who responded right away, removed the body to the General Hospital in Ningi, where a doctor confirmed her death and conducted a medical examination.
The military spokesperson confirmed the occurrence and stated that, in contrast to what has been reported, her corpse was located with all of its organs intact.
