Ministerial nominee from Ogun State, Bosun Tijani, has offered his apologies after facing questions from Senators regarding some tweets he made in 2019.
In response to President Bola Tinubu’s recent additional list of 19 nominees, Bosun Tijani appeared before the Senators for his screening on Saturday.

During the session, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari (APC – Oyo North) inquired about Tijani’s 2019 Twitter post and questioned his patriotism.
The tweet in question stated, “Nigeria is a bloody expensive tag.”
Senator Buhari also asked Tijani about his apparent disregard for the Nigerian passport and Nigeria as a nation.

He referred to a tweet from July 21, 2019, where Tijani expressed his lack of appreciation for the Nigerian passport and the country itself.
In defense of the nominee, Senator Ishaku Abbo representing Adamawa North Senatorial District stated that Tijani’s tweet was a product of mixed emotions, combining frustration and love for Nigeria.

Similarly, Senator Solomon Adeola from Ogun West Senatorial District urged his colleagues to forgive Tijani’s “youthful exuberance” and see his potential to contribute positively to Nigeria’s IT industry…[CONTINUE READING HERE]>>
