Arrangements are in their final stages for the simultaneous wedding ceremony of nine children of Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle. An invitation card circulating online indicates the event will take place at the Abuja Central Mosque on February 6.
According to the card, the weddings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The children listed are Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi, and Farida.
The spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris, confirmed the event, specifying that the nine children are five sons and four daughters. Idris, who is a member of the organizing committee, stated that “preparations are already in top gear to ensure a smooth ceremony in Abuja next month.”
