A gas truck burst into flames on Saturday in the historic capital of Ogun State, Abeokuta, due to break failure.
According to reports, the event occurred near the Ita-Oshin end of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway at about 5:30 p.m.
According to an eyewitness testimony, the driver of the gas-laden tanker had to struck the road barrier to lessen the effect of the collision.
It was gathered that many lives were lost in the inferno caused by the explosion, while many buildings and shops were razed.
Men from the Federal Fire Service Department, State Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, and security officers responded quickly and provided crucial services at the incident. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
