President Bola Tinubu has been advised by Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, to wash his hands off the case by releasing the agitator.
The lawyer said this in response to a publication that former President Muhammadu Buhari stopped his government from killing Kanu.
Femi Adesina, a former Special Advisor on Media and Publicity for President Buhari, claimed that the former leader chose to have Kanu arrested rather than have him killed, as certain government officials had suggested.
Adesina’s admission, according to Ejimakor, indicates that Kanu was never intended to receive a fair trial in Nigeria.
Posting on X, the lawyer wrote: “Buhari’s self-confessed plot to assassinate MAZI NNAMDI KANU underscores the lingering notion that #MNK was never meant to get a fair trial in Nigeria.
“That’s why they resorted to extraordinary rendition & illegal detention. President Tinubu should wash his hands off & #FreeMNK.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
