Head of Service Launches Process to Appoint Five Permanent Secretaries

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has initiated the accreditation stage for selecting five new Federal Permanent Secretaries, following presidential approval.

This exercise is intended to address current and upcoming vacancies within the top echelon of the Federal Civil Service. Eligible candidates are being sourced from five states: Adamawa, Bayelsa, Enugu, Kano, and Ogun.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, addressed the process, describing the accreditation as the foundational and most crucial phase of a national assignment that will determine the future leadership quality and integrity of the service.

She charged members of the Accreditation Committee to execute their duties with utmost diligence and professionalism. She emphasized that strict adherence to established guidelines is non-negotiable and that the entire process must be anchored on principles of fairness, transparency, and merit.

This accreditation marks the start of a comprehensive selection procedure that will culminate in the appointment of new permanent secretaries to bolster administrative leadership across federal ministries and agencies.
