“Four Years Is Four Years” EKSU Vice-Chancellor Assures New Students

The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Babatola Ayodele, has given new students a firm guarantee that they will graduate within the standard timeframe, affirming the university’s dedication to an unbroken academic calendar.

Professor Ayodele made this pledge during his address at the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session on Friday, February 6, 2026. The event formally welcomed the new cohort as official members of the EKSU community.

The Vice-Chancellor stated that the university has maintained several consecutive sessions of academic stability, allowing students to plan their graduation dates with certainty. He emphasized this point with the phrase, “four years is four years at EKSU.”

He extended gratitude to key stakeholders, including the Visitor to the University and Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, as well as student and staff union leaders, for their support in the institution’s development and for prioritising dialogue to resolve any potential issues.

Professor Ayodele reminded the matriculants that admission into EKSU is highly competitive and urged them to maximise the opportunity by striving for academic excellence. He encouraged them to prepare to make significant contributions to society, stating, “The world is waiting for you to make a positive and enduring impact on the global society in the not-too-distant future.”

While congratulating the students and their parents, the Vice-Chancellor thanked them for their trust in Ekiti State University and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing quality education in a supportive and conducive environment.
