Dangote Petroleum Refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has finally started producing refined petroleum products.
The largest single-train refinery in the world is located in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub.
It began operations production on Friday.
This was made known by the company in a statement signed by its official X handle on Friday night.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced production of diesel and aviation fuel.
“ Alhaji Aliko Dangote, elatedly thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and encouragement, towards the actualisation of this project.
“Dangote also thanked the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and Nigerians for their support and belief in the historic project”, it wrote.
This development comes on the heel of the refinery receiving the final 6th batch of one million barrels of crude oil required by the plant for their initial operations.
It was gathered from FRESHREPORTERS NEWS that the company had announced its readiness to kick-start production.
