Peter Mbah, the Enugu State Governor, on Monday, said he went around the state’s metropolis to urge people to come out and go about their various businesses.
The Governor tweeted this on Monday via ‘bird app’.
He also shared photos of how he went around the market places indulging citizens to go about their normal businesses.
Share photos from the scene, he wrote,
“Today, I went around Enugu metropolis to urge our people to come out and go about their various businesses.
“Ndi Enugu will not continue to sit at home on Monday, the first working day of the week. We should not encourage the crippling of our economy but must work to ensure it is revived.”
The governor, Mbah had on Thursday last week announced the Monday sit-at-home by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB to press for its leader’s release as antithetical to the economic interest of the state, saying it should stop from 6th of June, 2023.
