The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has commenced lectures at Northwest University in Kano after enrolling as a second-year law student.
Pictures circulating online on Tuesday, January 20, show the monarch seated in a classroom alongside other undergraduate students.
The university granted Sanusi special admission into its Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program in Common and Sharia Law.
In a statement, the institution explained that the admission was awarded in recognition of his extensive background in governance, economics, and public service.
Sanusi, who previously served as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, already holds a PhD.
