Ekiti: Oyebanji’s wife seeks improved attention on basic education

• The wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Olayemi Oyebanji, has called for improved attention on basic education.

Olayemi Oyebanji, the wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, has emphasized the importance of giving special attention to basic education, as it is the foundation upon which other levels of education rest.

Speaking at a summit organized by the State Universal Basic Education Board to train Education secretaries and head teachers, Oyebanji encouraged the education secretaries to be well-equipped for their task of ensuring effective delivery of quality learning and teaching processes.

She also called for regular peer review and feedback mechanisms to facilitate cross fertilization of ideas and experience sharing.

Oyebanji’s call for improved attention on basic education is in line with the understanding that education is the brain behind development and socio-economic growth in all sectors of the economy.
