The Drake curse appears to have struck once more.
Given his terrible betting history, many Tyson Fury supporters were terrified when the Canadian rapper said that he was betting on the Manchester boxer to win on Saturday night, May 18.
You may be familiar with the Drake curse, and this is only the most recent setback in the ‘One Dance’ star’s lengthy history of misfortunes.
The rapper posted the bet on his Instagram story earlier this week, which revealed that he put an eye-watering $565,000 (£444,000) on Fury.
Prior to the fight, the Mancunian was slight favourite, but after being knocked down by the Ukrainian in the ninth round, it looked bleak for him to mount a comeback.
Tyson Fury faced off against Oleksandr Usyk as the main card at the Ring of Fire event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to determine the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
It was one of the most anticipated fights of the past few years, having already been postponed from the original February date following an injury to Fury in training.
But in the end, Usyk emerged victorious on the night, winning by split decision (115-112 to Usyk, 114-113 to Fury and 114-113 to Usyk), bringing his boxing record to 22-0.
He is not only the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years, but he also did it after being the undisputed cruiserweight champion earlier in his career. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
