The medical community at Bingham University Teaching Hospital (BHUTH) in Jos, Plateau State, is grieving the tragic loss of Dr. Salome Oboyi, a Senior Resident Doctor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr. Oboyi passed away two days ago after a battle with Lassa fever. It is reported she contracted the virus while providing care to a patient who had been diagnosed with the same disease, highlighting the occupational risks healthcare workers face.
