Model and author Chrissy Teigen has humorously revealed one of her keys to a 12-year marriage with singer John Legend: maintaining a certain level of mystique. In a recent interview, she quipped, “For all he knows, I have never farted or pooped,” suggesting that preserving attraction through small, personal habits is important in a long-term relationship.

Teigen, 40, explained that “you got to keep the sexy and preserve the sexy in a little bit of ways,” noting that she makes a conscious effort in this regard, even if her husband doesn’t necessarily follow the same rule.

Reflecting on her broader philosophy of marriage, the mother of four emphasized the importance of being “complete partners in crime.” She advised couples to maintain an “us against the world” mentality, even after having children, and to never forget their roles as partners and lovers.

She stressed that teamwork is vital, especially in parenting, stating, “We created this thing and we’re going to solve it together.” Teigen acknowledged that the effort to make your partner feel good isn’t always easy, but it’s essential advice she follows herself, saying “it’s my keen advice to do it anyway.” The couple famously renewed their vows in Italy in 2023 to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
