The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has temporarily suspended its ongoing recruitment exercise portal due to technical glitches and security concerns.
The portal, which was initially launched on July 14, 2025, faced widespread accessibility issues, including countdown delays and server instability, frustrating thousands of applicants.
Additionally, concerns were raised about the portal’s security vulnerabilities, prompting calls for immediate intervention to protect applicants from potential scams or data breaches.
The CDCFIB has issued an official statement clarifying when the portal will resume operations on 21st of July 2025.
This suspension follows earlier postponements, as the recruitment portal was initially scheduled to open on June 26, 2025, before being rescheduled to July 14 due to “adjustments in schedule”.
The CDCFIB has emphasized that the recruitment process is free and warned applicants against fraudulent third-party platforms demanding payment.
While the board has acknowledged the inconvenience caused, it reiterated its commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process once the portal is fully functional.
