President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Engr. Olusesan Olufunso Adebiyi as the new Permanent Secretary of the State House.
Engr. Adebiyi takes over from Tijjani Umar, who held the position from April 5, 2020 until his retirement on August 10, 2023.
Engr. Adebiyi officially assumed his new role on Monday in Abuja and expressed his dedication to contributing to the success of President Tinubu’s administration.
During a handover ceremony at the State House Administrative block, Engr. Adebiyi, who previously served as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, thanked his predecessor, Umar.
He recognized Umar’s devoted service to the nation and congratulated him on his retirement.
In his new capacity, Engr. Adebiyi encouraged the State House staff to work together as a united team with renewed energy and commitment to achieve success.
He stated, “I pledge my faithfulness, hard work, honesty, and sincerity of purpose in ensuring that every assignment given to me is carried out to the letter.”
