Breaking News: Niger’s Junta Leader Announces Transition to Civilian Government in 3 Years

In a significant development, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, the leader of Niger’s junta, has made a pivotal announcement.

He stated that the military will facilitate the transfer of power to a civilian government within the upcoming three years.

General Tchiani conveyed this important message during a televised address on Saturday night.

This declaration follows a meeting between General Tchiani and a delegation from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which was led by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd).

Furthermore, General Tchiani revealed that the junta plans to establish a committee within a month.
