Bob-Manuel Reveals Daughter Was Bullied in School Because of His Fame

Veteran Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu has opened up about the emotional toll his celebrity status has taken on his children, particularly his daughter, who faced bullying in school simply for being his child.

Speaking on WithChude, Udokwu recounted how senior students at Queens College would single out his daughter and punish her “for just being (my daughter)” while she was in Junior Secondary School 1. He admitted that although she now laughs about the experience, “it was not funny. She was in JSS 1.”

He explained that he and his wife deliberately chose to enrol their children in public schools to give them a normal upbringing and shield them from the distractions that often come with his fame. “I did not want to be in their face so that I do not distract them. We agreed they were going to go to public school, because I also attended public schools,” he said.
