Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State on Saturday reopened the Apongbon bridge that was razed by fire on the 23rd of March, 2022.
It was gathered that fire also gutted some shops under the Apongbon section of the Eko Bridge of the state.
The Federal Government, had on Thursday, said both Eko and Apongbon Bridges which had been closed to traffic for months, would be reopened by midnight of Sunday, 9th of July, 2023, and motorists can start using the bridges as from Monday morning, 10th of July, 2023.
In the video that went viral, and was monitored by the freshreporters media, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu arrived at the scene with his entourage to declare the bridge open.
