Romanus Ejikeme, father of embattled Anambra UTME Student, Mmesoma Ejikeme, who recently confessed to the forgery of the result of her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination has stated that his daughter didn’t confess her “crime” to him on time.
Romanus revealed this while briefing the newsmen on Saturday in an interview with NTA News shared on Twitter platform.
Mmesoma’s father who had always sided his daughter unreal performance pleaded with Nigerians and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB to forgive his daughter.
According to him,
“As I said earlier, my daughter didn’t open up to me on time. When I realised the mistake that she made, I blamed her.
“I tell her every day to be careful not to dent her image as a star. I apologise to JAMB and Nigerians to pardon her.”
Freshreporters media had reported that the joint admission exam had last Sunday accused Mmesoma of manually inflating her 2023 UTME result from 249 to 362 and went ahead to obtain a scholarship from Innoson which has now been withdrawn.
