Adamawa Govt Imposes 24-Hour Curfew As Youths Loot Government Grain Stores, Private Shops

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, took a decisive step to address the escalating security situation in the state by declaring a 24-hour curfew. This decision was announced after hoodlums attacked two warehouses and engaged in looting activities. The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Fintiri, Humwashi Wonosikou, released a statement explaining the rationale behind the curfew imposition.

He highlighted that the hoodlums had taken their activities to a dangerous level by attacking people and breaking into business premises, causing fear and unrest in the state capital.

The curfew, which is now in effect, prohibits any form of movement throughout the state, with exceptions made for individuals on essential duties who possess valid identification.
