The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA on Monday, 30th of October, 2023, revealed it has welcomed an additional group of 99 stranded Nigerians from Niger Republic.
According to a press statement released by NEMA’s Lagos Territorial Office coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye, shared on its X handle, the returnees were assisted in a voluntary capacity by the International Organisation for Migration.
The flight carrying the stranded Nigerians touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos around 2.15pm.
The statement said,
“Another batch of 99 stranded Nigerians has been repatriated back to the country from Niger Republic. The returnees who were assisted back to the country in a voluntary capacity by the International Organisation for Migration landed around 1415 hours.
“The chartered flight Sky Mali with registration number TZ-SMA, Boeing 737-500 had 15 adult females including two with medical cases and 76 adult males, seven female children, 15 male children, one female and infants respectively aboard the aircraft.”[CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
