“You’re Forger-in-chief” – Atiku’s Camp Fires Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar’s team, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being a persistent forger and liar.

In a statement made available to Freshreporters on Sunday, Paul Ibe, Atiku’s Media Adviser, asserted that it’s become apparent to the world that Tinubu has consistently engaged in forgery and dishonesty over the past five decades.

Ibe alleged that Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, has manipulated various aspects of his life, including his heritage, name, birthdate, education, certificates, and employment history.

Ibe pointed out that the recent revelations about Tinubu’s records at Chicago State University and the court-ordered deposition in the United States are just the tip of the iceberg regarding his history of forgery and falsehoods.

Ibe emphasized that any effort to involve Atiku Abubakar in Tinubu’s forgery allegations should be viewed as an attempt to downplay the serious accusations of forgery against Tinubu.

Ibe clarified, “Contrary to Bola A. Tinubu’s accusation of forgery against Atiku, it is a well-documented fact that the change of Atiku Abubakar’s name from Siddiq Abubakar to its current form was officially recorded in an affidavit dated August 18, 1973. This change occurred over 50 years ago, coincidentally as old as Tinubu’s history of forgeries and lies.”

He then delved into Tinubu’s own history of fabrications and falsehoods. In 1999, Tinubu allegedly provided false information under oath in his form CF001 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He claimed to have attended St. Paul’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, Government College Ibadan, Chicago University (CU), and Chicago State University (CSU.

However, it has been revealed that he only attended CSU and gained admission through impersonation.

Further investigation uncovered that Tinubu had forged a secondary school certificate from Government College Lagos, an HSC certificate from Cambridge University, and a transcript from Richard Daley College, which belonged to a female student.

It was also discovered that he was notified by CSU of outstanding pre-qualifying examinations in English, Mathematics, and Comprehension a few days before his graduation in 1979, although this never appeared on his transcript.

Tinubu claimed in his 1999 affidavit that he had work experience with Arthur Anderson Accounting, Deloitte, and Mobil Nigeria.

However, none of these claims could be verified, as there were no records of his employment at these organizations.

Moreover, his name mysteriously changed on his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate on Wikipedia in October 2023, raising suspicions of further forgery.

Ibe concluded by stating that Atiku Abubakar’s name has clear family roots and history, and his adoption of the name Atiku Abubakar occurred during his tenure at the Nigeria Customs Service. In contrast, Bola A Tinubu’s name lacked historical or social recognition until the late 1970s.
