Police in Adamawa State have taken into custody fifteen youths who were part of the Shila Boys gang, who were experts at stealing phones and other personal items from locals.
Nine cell phones, a POS system, hazardous weapons, and hard narcotics were found, according to a statement released by the state Police Command and signed by Police Public Relations Officer Suleiman Nguroje.
The statement also revealed suspects’ identities as Abdullahi Shuaibu, 18, Muhammad Abubakar, 18, Auwal Saleh, 18, Usman Abdullahi, 21, Auwal Isah, 20, Usman Ahmadu, 32, and Jamilu Hassan, 19.
The others are Yusuf Ahmed (20), Muhammad Auwal (19), Salisu Umar (19), Yahya Umaru (25), Abdulsalam Abdullahi (20), Jamilu Sani (18), Abraham Joel (18), and Yusuf Ahmed (20).
According to the police, the suspects were taken into custody during the just finished Sallah festivities in Jimeta, Yola North LGA, Yola Town, and the surrounding areas. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
