The Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport, located along Iperu-lishan road in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday, witnessed its maiden commercial flight with the presence of Nigerian dignitaries.
Present at the ceremony were Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo; the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun; his wife, Bamidele Abiodun; Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele; former governor and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Olusegun Osoba; and Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika.
The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in his speech described the Gateway Agro Cargo Airport as a world class project worthy of emulation.
Osinbajo also revealed that the Kajola Dry Port in the state would soon become operational in a few months to come.
