Why Should I Be Concerned About People Who Will Feed Me Burgers Denying Me a Visa When I Can Visit Nigeria to Eat Jollof Rice? — South African Politician Julius Malema Reacts to U.S. Visa Denials

Julius Malema, the leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), expressed indifference towards being denied visas for countries like the United States and the United Kingdom.

In a recent statement, Malema remarked, “If America decides that I’m no longer welcome, that’s fine. I can travel to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Nigeria—Africa is my home. Why worry about individuals who serve me burgers that could make me overweight when I can visit Nigeria for jollof rice and goat pepper soup?”

He highlighted that Africa is full of opportunities and cultural richness, particularly praising Nigeria’s cuisine, suggesting that he feels no need to be anxious about travel restrictions imposed by other countries. Malema’s comments illustrate his dedication to Africa and his belief in the continent’s warmth and cultural offerings over those of the West.
