Nigerian billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya has disclosed his intention to transfer control of his business empire to his younger children, citing a desire to secure their future and avoid the pitfalls of the past.

Speaking on his succession plan, the founder of the Eleganza Group explained that he is deliberately preparing the next generation to take over his business interests. According to him, the move is aimed at ensuring continuity and long-term stability.

“I want to pass everything to my younger children because I don’t want them to fail like the senior ones,” he said, hinting at lessons drawn from earlier experiences.

Okoya emphasized the value of experience in leadership, stressing the need for focus, integrity, determination, and punctuality. He noted that his children are being immersed in the daily operations of the business, including visits to the factory floor, to gain practical understanding.

The billionaire, who shares his younger children with his wife, Shade Okoya, said the plan is designed to ensure a seamless transition. He stressed that while others may inherit established systems, his children must appreciate the effort required to build and sustain a business empire.
