Nigerian super star and a super Eagles player, Victor Osimhen dished out a word of encouragement following their win against Angola in the ongoing African World Cup of Nation, AFCON 2023 tournet.
The Napoli striker reflected back after loosing his mother, the following month according to him, his father lost his job. He stated how his family had suffered.
He said,
“When I lost my mom it was very difficult for my family. The following month my dad lost his job. It was very tough for my family and for my sister. We had to work hard to sell bottled water in the streets of Lagos, just to put food on the table. To support our dad.
Growing up was very tough for me but I’m happy all those things happened. It shaped me to be the person I am today. You can see on the pitch, I never give up, regardless of the outcome of the game. I can say I’m a warr!or. I really f!ght for everything, because I’ve been f!ght!ng for my life. It is my trademark to keep f!ght!ng.
